ASCO Numatics is the first to introduce a compact, low power flameproof solenoid operator with
a mere 0.5W power consumption. Certified according to ATEX, IECEx and FM, it is especially suited for applications in the offshore market where high levels of safety and superior resistance to corrosion are required.

The low wattage coil provides reduced battery drain and heat rise, reduced wiring cost and
energy savings. The savings in power usage over the installed life of the solenoid valve will
lower the total cost of ownership.

The housing and cover of the enclosure are in 316L stainless steel or aluminium. Any Ex d approved cable entry device can be supplied and the operator can be rotated 360° to select the most favourable position for cable entry.

In combination with the IECEx approved 3/2-5/2 way spool valves, series 551-552-553, which feature a flow of 860 upto 3800 l/min, a wide range of single and double acting actuators can be controlled.
